Job Description: India on Track is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual for the position of City Manager. The City Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of our operations in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for education and sports.
Key Responsibilities:
1. School Engagement:
- Develop and maintain relationships with schools in the area.
- Organize and conduct meetings with school authorities to promote our programs.
- Present the benefits of our programs and services to schools and encourage their participation.
- Coordinate with school administrators to schedule events and activities.
2. Business Development:
- Identify and approach potential business partners, such as sports coaches, venue managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with partners to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our programs.
3. Coach Appointment:
- Recruit and appoint qualified sports coaches for our programs.
- Conduct interviews and assessments to select the best candidates.
- Provide training and support to coaches to ensure they deliver high-quality sessions.
4. Venue Management:
- Secure suitable venues for our programs, such as sports facilities and schools.
- Coordinate with venue managers to schedule sessions and events.
- Ensure that venues meet safety and quality standards for participants.
5. Program Management:
- Oversee the planning and execution of sports and educational programs.
- Monitor program performance and evaluate participant feedback.
- Implement improvements and adjustments to enhance program effectiveness.
6. Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of staff members, including coaches and operational managers.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their goals.
- Conduct regular meetings and performance evaluations to ensure productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or related areas.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and development.
- Passion for education, sports, and community engagement.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
- Willingness to travel within the city and occasionally outside for business purposes.
