Five Iron Golf is seeking an Assistant Manager - Golf Operations to deliver exceptional customer service and hospitality to our guests.

The Assistant Manager - Golf Operations will have a passion for working in the golf or leisure industry and have excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will assist with all day-to-day golf operations

and administrative tasks of our store and golf shop.

The Assistant Manager - Golf Operations reports to Manager – Golf Operations & Business.

• Open all bays securely in the morning, prepare for daily play and secure for shutdown at closing in line with shift schedule

• Greet customers and groups as they arrive, position golf clubs and equipment at bays,guide customers to bays, provide general overview and rules about golf and playing on TrackMan simulators.

• Ensure satisfaction of customers and take pride of guest’s enjoyment and fun at Five Iron Golf.

• Assist and coordinate with staff in booking sheet management and ensure the schedule process is as seamless as possible for the customers.

• Continually develop proficiency in golf simulator technology and golf operations.

• Responsible for keeping simulators in good working condition, general maintenance,repairs, troubleshooting, managing and maintaining inventory of spare parts.

• Maintain organization of bag storage room and inventory of clubs, balls, and equipment.

• Ensure the space is always kept clean and perform regular checks of the members locker facilities. Reporting any defects or issues to management.

• Assist in management of golf shop and its administrative tasks, retail merchandising, inventory management and ensure displays are full and re-stocked as required.

• Assist with member and guest’s enquiries in relation to bookings, lessons, equipment, retail enquiries and queries related to Five Iron’s products

• Coordinate and assist in setting up and managing high value events, league nights,tournaments and other golf specific initiatives.

• Work with all vendors for repairs, breaks, replacement equipment, etc. for all golf specific needs.

• Ensure that the location adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.

 

• Assist in F&B operations when necessary and assist in marketing efforts within local community as required.

Golf, server, and/or hospitality experience encouraged but NOT mandatory

• Previous experience, preferably within a golf or hospitality setting

• Strong time management and organization skills

• Excellent communication, both written and oral

• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills required to cultivate meaningful relationships with our Guests

• Ability to follow and implement health and safety requirements

• Ability to think on your feet and manage customer expectations

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a shift based 7-day roster
